709 Truman Avenue
When the property appraiser showed up in 1965 to capture this photo of the Cinderella Rooming House, there was a vacancy. Surely it wouldn't stay available for long since, according to the big sign out front, the Cinderella offered private baths - not so common in rooming houses of the era. Across the street in 1965 still resided the Convent of Mary Immaculate - open since 1876, enlarged in 1904, and considered the most beautiful educational building in South Florida.
